Induction Year: 2019
Class of 1971

Kevin Scott is a life-long parishioner of St. Elizabeth Church. He graduated from St. Elizabeth Elementary School in 1967 and St. Elizabeth High School in 1971. A participant in plays since first grade, he continued his involvement in the Performing Arts at St. E as a director while attending the University of Delaware and doing
broadcast production work for the Diocese of Wilmington. He served as Assistant to the Director of Communications and Public Relations at the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington from 1974 to 1981. He was named Development Director at St. Elizabeth High School in 1981 and continued in that capacity through 2016. While Development Director, he not only raised money for capital improvements, he also served as Owner’s Representative and Construction Manager for the Poppiti Wing, the St. E Center, the Benedictine Performing Arts Center, and other major infrastructural renovations at St. E for 35 years. Additionally, Kevin has been Theatre Manager and technical assistant for every show at St. E since 1981. He was Producer of the Cedar Street Players Community Theatre Organization from 1983 to 1992, which was started by Sr. Mary Ellen and Kevin, to provide opportunities for St. E students, parents, alumni, parishioners and friends to work together on theatrical productions.

Today, he continues his support of theatre and music activities and he is helping to develop an archive for St. Elizabeth history and memorabilia. Kevin is our go-to guy for institutional knowledge and we value him as our very own “Viking Historian”.
